Welcome to Helios Science, the new age Gurukul

Helios Science is a hybrid coaching institute based in Risali, Bhilai, teaching Science, Maths and Social Science to students of Classes 6 to 12, with Olympiad preparation for NSO, IMO, NTSE and NSTSE, and online tutoring for students overseas, especially in New Jersey, USA.

In physics, speed tells you how fast you are moving, but velocity tells you how fast and in which direction. A student can study for hours and still get nowhere if the direction is wrong, and setting that direction is what Helios Science does.

Founded by Arunaditya Poddar, a mechanical engineer and former merchant navy and PSU professional, Helios Science follows one process: plan the syllabus, learn it properly, practise it like the real exam, and review after every test. Every class runs in our classroom and online at the same time, so students across Bhilai and Durg can join. Like the old Gurukul, we know every student by name, and we add the tools today’s student needs: an app, recorded classes and regular tests.

Mock Tests with Real Exam Like Interface

Knowing a chapter and performing in an exam are different skills, and mock tests train the second. Ours run from school to Olympiad level, mix MCQ and subjective papers, add negative marking, flagging weak chapters.

Designed Map for Course Completion

Each subject is divided into four modules, paced so the syllabus finishes early and the final weeks go to revision. Frequent doubt sessions clear questions while the chapter is still fresh, before small gaps grow.

Advanced Study Material

Our study material is short, specific and written for how questions are asked today, for Classes 6 to 12. Workbooks combine previous year questions, MCQs that test depth, and timed practice that builds solving speed.

Update of Performance Report

Test reports and assignments appear in the Helios Science app, so parents can check progress anytime, from anywhere. PTMs add direct feedback on effort and progress, and we also track each student’s confidence and motivation.

A practical approach towards education

During Science Week, students turn textbook concepts into working science projects with their hands. A child who has built a model of an idea rarely forgets it. See the Science Week section of our gallery.

Audio-visual Teaching

Web visuals and 3D animations make hard-to-picture topics easier to understand and remember.

Hybrid classes

The same timetable online and offline, so no class is missed because of travel, illness or rain, and out-of-town students can compete with others across the country. Biology is offline only.
